About the Trainer
ANN KING - CPDT, CBC
At CANINE KING, our mission is to enhance the bond between you and your dog through positive reinforcement training techniques. We believe that every dog deserves to be well-behaved and happy in their environment.
I live and train locally in the Westchester/Bronx area. I have been a certified trainer (www.ccpdt.org) for 20 years and I continue to educate myself in all things dog by attending seminars and workshops presented by some of the finest dog trainers, behaviorists and veterinarians in the country. I have worked and volunteered with shelters and rescues in NYC, Westchester and Duchess County, and I am currently a consulting trainer with Animal Care Center of NYC. Their community pets program offers training services to owners in need, to help keep pets in their home and out of the busy shelter system. In 2013 I founded a non-profit rescue, www.bestbullies.org in which we rescue dogs and cats from high volume shelters then get them the medical help they need and train them to become wonderful adoptable pets. I currently have 2 dogs, a Pit Bull, and a Chihuahua, and one pet rat.
